Public education in the town of Jackson is provided by Teton County School District #1 including Jackson Elementary School, Colter Elementary School, Jackson Hole Middle School, Jackson Hole High School, Jackson Hole Community school as well as the Journey School. Teton School District No. 1
The goals outlined by the TCSD #1 are to provide premier educational programs, thorough preparation for either the workforce or higher education, smooth transition between scholastic tiers and formative periods, and development of responsible, active citizens.

The total enrollment of the district is just over twenty-two hundred students across nine principle campuses as well as community educational sites.
The goals of the school board are to support learning through the development of advanced literacy programs, comprehensive curricula, and response based intervention platforms.
